Michinoeki - Green Flower Ranch DAIGO

We visited Michino-eki "Green Flower Ranch - DAIGO" and put the flyer of Japan CROPs ("Michinoeki" is Japanese road station which is placed not only to support drivers on the road, but also to provide the community place for local people). Michinoeki "Green Flower Ranch - DAIGO" is one of Michinoeki that is located in Maebashi city of Gunma prefecture.

Maebashi city is located at the center part of Gunma prefecture which is around 100 km distant from Tokyo, and it is prefectural capital. Tone River (which is one of Major and biggest River in Japan) flows at the center of Maebashi city and also, the city is located at the bottom of Akagi Mt. (which is one of top 100 mountains in Japan). Meanwhile, the city is famous as one of highest temperature recorded city in summer season in Japan.

Michino-eki "Green Flower Ranch - DAIGO" is located at the nearest part of Akagi Mt., and it is the Michinoeki having vast land. Gunma prefectures is the prefecture which has highest number of Michino-eki in Kanto area (Tokyo area), and therefore every Michinoeki presents distinct characteristics strongly in order to attract many people. The characterists of Michinoeki "Gre-en Flower Ranch - DAIGO" is having ranch and providing the place where everyone (from children to the elderly) enjoy staying with their families.

When we actually visited there, initially we parked the car at restaurant area of the Michinoeki by mistake though we headed to agricultural products direct sale place in the Michinoeki. And indeed, we needed to drive car again in order to reach the direct sale place from there. On the road to the direct sale place, a big windmill appeared suddenly in the premises of Michinoeki. We understood that this Michinoeki is not the selling place like usual Michinoeki, but it is big park or picnic place, being equipped with sell place. Since usual Michinoeki is not so large, we were surprised with such largeness.

When we entered into the building of the direct sale place, there were a lot of vegetables, flowers and processed food are displayed. And many customers were visiting at the place continously and were buying such fresh foods.

Though we visited it in busy season (summer vacation season), stuff of the Michinoeki "Green Flower Ranch - DAIGO" accepted our visit kindly.
