Michinoeki HASUNUMA

We visited "Shiosai-kaoru" Michinoeki "Orai HASUNUMA" and put the flyer of Japan CROPs ("Michinoeki" is road station). Michinoeki "Shiosai-kaoru" Michinoeki "Orai HASUNUMA" is one of Michinoeki that is located in Sanmu city of Chiba prefecture.

Sanmu city is located in the east part of Chiba prefecture and facing the Pacific Ocean at the east part of the city and the city land extends from there to inland. Inland consists of plain field and hilly areas. The Sanmu city has not only the resource of the Pacific Ocean, but also get the benefits from such plain field and hilly area. This district has the condition to provide crops such as rices, vegetables and fruits, and forests products in addition to the harvest from sea.

In this background, "Shiosai-kaoru" Michinoeki "Orai HASUNUMA" is located in the area near sea relatively. When we visited the place, we felt that it was the area for agriculture rather than for fishing, because we were not able to see sea from the Michinoeki and also it was surrounded by fields for crops. However, when we entered into the facility, we found the big flag of fishery ship and actual fishery boat near main building which is built in traditional japanese style way. So we understood that this Michinoeki is the place providing both harvests from crops fields and oceans.

Once we stepped into the main building, there were a lot of agricultural products and fishery processing products displayed for sale. Also there were a lot of local residents who are looking for fresh and tasty foods and products in the Michinoeki.

Though we visited it in busy hours, stuff of the "Shiosai-kaoru" Michinoeki "Orai HASUNUMA" accepted our visit kindly.
