We visited Michinoeki "KURIMOTO Benikomachi-no-sato" and put the flyer of Japan CROPs ("Michinoeki" is road station). Michinoeki "KURIMOTO Benikomachi-no-sato" is one of Michinoeki that is located in Katori city of Chiba prefecture.
Katori city is located at the north east part of Chiba prefecture, and it is facing to Tone river (which is one of biggest river in Japan) at the north of the city. Katori city is one of biggest agriculture cities in Chiba prefecture. The area near Tone river is one of famous agriculture areas in Japan nationwide, and not only rices but also vegetables are produced in this area.
When we visited Michinoeki "KURIMOTO Benikomachi-no-sato", we easily recognized that this area had strong agriculture industry because the facility was surrounded by crops fields. The appearance of the building was modern image, but it also took on the conception of Japanese sweet potato (Benikomachi is one of breeds of Japanese sweet potato), by putting the purple color (which is for the sweet potato) on the wall of the building. Inside the building, in addition to the area for sale of sweet potato, there were lot of rices and vegetables which were displayed in attractive way. Also, there were a lot of local people looking for fresh and delicious ingredients for the day's dinner.
Though we visited it in busy hours, stuff of the Michinoeki "KURIMOTO Benikomachi-no-sato" accepted our visit kindly.
