Retinol is mainly contained in animal foods. The physiological effects are the normalization of vision, growth and reproductive effects, infection prevention, etc. It is known that the deficiency causes impotentia generandi, impaired immunity, night blindness, xerophthalmia(dry eye), growth arrest, etc.. And the excessive consumption causes headache, nausea, changes in bones and skin, and so on.
The target crops here are the 57 crops which are covered in "Crop Statistical Survey" that is conducted by Japanese government.
