Explanation (overview and effects) about [carbohydrate]
Carbohydrate is counted as one of the three major nutrients (protein, lipid, carbohydrate) or five major nutrients (protein, lipid, carbohydrate, vitamins, minerals). It is essential nutrient as energy to move the body properly.
Carbohydrate has 2 kinds, 1: the one that is digested and is absorbed (sugar), 2: the one that is not digested and not abosorbed (dietary fiber). Carbohydrate is mainly energy to move the brain and body. Since it burns faster than lipids (that become energy in the same way), as soon as it is absorbed by the body it becomes energy quickly.
Carbohydrate (saccharide) is included not only in sweet stuffs such as sugar and fruits, but also as rice, bread, noodles and potatoes as starch.
If it is not enough:
There is a possibility that energy becomes insufficient and tired easily.
Since it is an energy source of the brain, there is a possibility that the brain do not work very well.
if taking too much:
Extra carbohydrate(saccharide) is stored as body fat, so there is a possibility of getting fat.
